APC Membership Categories / Annual Dues
There are two categories of Membership:
Emerging Firm Member ($625/year)
- In business at least six months and less than three years
- Has at least two nonprofit clients
- An Emerging Firm member will have been a practicing consultant for at least six months and will have worked in the fundraising profession or as a development officer for at least five years.
- Demonstrates they intend to qualify for full membership by the end of three years of full operation
Full Member (starting at $895/year)
- In business more than three years
- Annual Membership Dues are based on number of FTE consultants in the firm
APC Full Membership Dues Calculation
In 2022, APC approved a sliding scale for membership dues, based on the number of FTE consultants in the firm. The dues schedule is as follows:
| Size of Firm | Annual Dues Rate |
| Firms of up to Two Consultants | $895 |
| Firms of More Than Two and Fewer Than Five Consultants | $1,250 |
| Firms of Five or More Consultants | $1,495 |
- Your firm’s assessment is based on your self-reported assessment of full-time equivalent employees and/or sub-contractors who are engaging with and serving clients.
- Other sub-contractors who provide your firm with accounting, legal, or HR services would not count toward this calculation.
- After counting yourself, assess the number of FTE consultants engaged as of January 1 and select the appropriate rate.
